To welcome the new season, Big Wild recently dropped us a little Spring 2016 mix. The mix features some old favorites like remixes of Sylvan Esso and Hundred Waters, but also teases listeners with some new remixes and two unreleased originals.
Included in the mix is a new version of ‘Aftergold’ featuring vocals from the Swedish singer Tove Styrke. The original version, released several months ago, was the second release on ODESZA’s Foreign Family Collective. This new vocal rendition of ‘Aftergold’ marks the ninth release from the label.
As if the original track wasn’t enlightening enough with its intricate layers and cheery upbeat vibes, Big Wild has gone ahead and thrown in some fun vocals. The catchy vocals bring a new pop feeling to the track that is borderline infectious. The timing of the release could not have been any better. Welcome warm weather and a great summer anthemic tune to bump with your windows down! The track is set to be released March 25th, but you can preview the track here.
Over the course of the next two months Jackson Stell aka the genius behind Big Wild will be out on his first headline run. The Big Wild Spring 2016 Tour will feature special guests Electric Mantis and Chet Porter. Jackson has told us eager fans that we can expect even more new music for the tour. We’re already dying for the release of the tracks teased in the Spring Mix and simply cannot wait to hear what this lad will come up with next!
